GC Foster Student Awarded Scholarship From TasJay Productions with Plans To Assist More

TasJay Productions has announced plans to expand scholarship opportunities for high-achieving tertiary students later this year. This follows their recent award of a scholarship to GC Foster student Delon Scott.
Scott, who already receives the prestigious Arthur Wint scholarship for his tuition, was granted additional financial support from TasJay Productions to cover living expenses, including meals. This aid will allow him to focus on maintaining his impressive 3.89 GPA and possibly even improve it.
James Smith, CEO of TasJay Productions, emphasized the importance of supporting young men in higher education, noting that fewer are completing college. "It’s inspiring to see a young man excelling academically, and we're proud to contribute to his success. The foundation is committed to helping our youth achieve their goals," Smith stated.
Smith also highlighted the label’s dedication to giving back to the community. Through its philanthropic arm, the TasJay Productions Foundation, the label plans to make a greater impact on the development of Jamaica's youth.
In addition to its music investments in Jamaica, which include compilations featuring artists like Anthony B and Luciano, as well as singles and an upcoming album from Rad Dixon, the TasJay Productions Foundation’s launch last year is seen as a major step toward helping the country in various ways.
The foundation, which was inspired by Rad Dixon, a trending reggae artist and official label member, aims to make a positive impact in the community. Delon Scott, a recipient of the scholarship, also hails from Dixon’s home parish of Manchester.
